Talecris, Centric Biotherapeutics Sponsor 8th annual Celebration of Life Event: “We Got the Beat to Beat Alpha-1”
MIAMI – The Alpha-1 Foundation will host its 8th annual Celebration of Life event this Friday, May 2, to raise awareness and funds for Alpha-1, a genetic condition that can cause life-threatening lung and liver disease.
The theme of this year’s Celebration of Life is “We Got the Beat to Beat Alpha-1”. It will feature two bands – including committee members Pepe Ortega and Renato “Renny” Tirador – performing for donations, and a karaoke evening with attendees bidding to hear their favorite performers, capped off with the selection of – what else? – the “Alpha-1 Idol.”
