Memorial service scheduled for Dr. David Pogue, TX Alpha

Dr. David MacCharles Pogue passed away Oct. 27 after a long struggle with lung disease caused by Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
The memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Fain Presbyterian Church.
Pogue had always been an athlete and had never smoked. He was a charter member of the Wichita Falls Runners Club, completed five marathons, rode in and completed the HHH 100 mile bike ride, was an orange belt in judo, an avid sailor, and became a certified scuba diver by the British Sub Aqua Club while living in Jamaica.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The Alpha-1 Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave., Ste. 302, Miami, FL, 33133; or to Fain Presbyterian Church, 2201 Speedway, Wichita Falls, TX, 76308.
