Brantly to Discuss Early Detection at AZ Ed Day

MESA, AZ — Mark Brantly, MD, one of America’s leading lung disease clinicians and researchers, will speak on the importance of early detection of Alpha-1 Antitrypisin Deficiency at an Education Day Sunday, March 9. About 100,000 people in the United States have the most serious form of the condition, commonly known as Alpha-1. Fewer than 10 percent have been correctly diagnosed, though the condition is treatable and detected by a simple blood test.

The Education Day will be held at the Phoenix Marriot Mesa, 200 N. Centennial Way, Mesa; registration begins at 10:30 am. Admission is free and includes a complimentary lunch.
