"We Got the Beat to Beat Alpha-1" Event Kicks Off
Leopoldo & Marilina Fernandez, honorary chairs of the Alpha-1 Foundation’s 8th Annual Celebration of Life event taking place on May 2, held a successful kick-off cocktail reception at Por Fin restaurant in Coral Gables.
The cocktail reception, hosted by Por Fin owner Carlos Centurion, was a thank-you to local civic and business leaders in Miami for their dedication as committee members.
The Celebration of Life event, with a theme this year of “We Go the Beat to Beat Alpha-1”, includes a golf tournament and dinner dance and will be held at the Indian Creek Country Club in Miami Beach.

The cocktail reception was deemed a success with over half of the tables and foursome tables sold for the Celebration of Life dinner dance at the introductory event. Tables are $2,500 and foursomes are $1,400.
